Hana Trávníčková, Ondřej Moš
Central European Business Review 2026, 15(4) | DOI: 10.18267/j.cebr.424
This paper investigates the development of entrepreneurial competence (EC) in Central Europe through the lens of knowledge management. Using a mixed-methods design, the study combines secondary data from the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey (GUESSS) with primary institutional data (online questionnaire with closed- and open-ended items, complemented by a structured group discussion) covering 62% of Czech public higher education institutions (HEIs). Results show that Czech students are less inclined to pursue entrepreneurship than their global peers, despite Generation Z’s predisposition toward entrepreneurial activity....

Ines Milohnić, Ivana Licul
Central European Business Review 2026, 15(4) | DOI: 10.18267/j.cebr.425
Despite growing interest in the circular economy (CE) in the hotel sector and extensive research identifying the conditions associated with its implementation, evidence remains insufficient on the organisational processes through which CE implementation takes shape. This research gap is the focus of the present study, which, recognising managers as agents of organisational change, addresses the following research question: How do managerial interpretations shape CE implementation? The study adopted a qualitative research approach, using semi-structured interviews with 20 managers of independent hotels and hotels operating within domestic and...

This study examines the structural dimensions associated with research and development investment across European Union countries through an integrated econometric framework encompassing economic performance, efficiency dynamics, environmental pressures, policy orientation, and digital transformation. Moving beyond single-indicator approaches, the analysis constructs composite indices reflecting structural innovation capacity, resource and energy efficiency, green transition pressures, fiscal and policy orientation, and digital business transformation. Using panel data for EU Member States over the period 2013-2023, the empirical strategy combines...

Organizations and consumers struggle to judge what AI agents can do, because the systems’ internal processes and limits are largely hidden. Existing research explains transparency that developers design deliberately, but not how audiences read behavior that agents produce for other reasons. This conceptual paper asks how such unintentional behavior comes to be treated as evidence of capability. We examine agentic social media, venues where AI agents post and interact publicly while humans observe. Drawing on signaling theory and on the disclosure, clarity, and accuracy dimensions of transparency, we identify five features that govern how...
