Central European Business Review (CEBR) is an online peer-reviewed journal focused on business issues with a Central European perspective. The journal has five issues per year (since 2019). It is published by the Prague University of Economics and Business.
All articles are peer-reviewed by independent reviewers.

The CEBR journal deals with topical issues in
• management,
• entrepreneurship,
• marketing,
• corporate strategy & finance,
• international business,
• operations management and
• human resources management
in Central Europe. It is also open for authors worldwide which focus on Central European business issues. Papers focusing on other parts of the world will be accepted only if their findings can be generalized or are relevant for Central European business policy-makers and researchers.
The journal covers both qualitative and quantitative research articles, conceptual papers and systematic literature reviews.
The CEBR journal does not accept research based on convenience sampling among the academic staff or students.
There aren't any publishing fees or article processing charges. Online access is free of charge.

Dr. Pavel Král became the new Editor-in-Chief of Central European Business Review on September 1, 2025. Dr. Král is an experienced management professional with over twenty years of experience in higher education.
He serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Economics, Prague, where he specializes in human resource management, organizational design, and organizational transparency. He earned his Ph.D. in Management from the Faculty of Management at VSE in 2014.
Dr. Král has extensive international experience through academic stays at prestigious universities, including Griffith University in Australia, Aarhus University in Denmark, and the University of Denver in the USA. His research focuses on organizational transparency, human resource management, and organizational governance.
He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings. He regularly publishes in renowned journals such as Management Decision, European Sport Management Quarterly, and Journal of Business Research. He actively participates in research projects focused on organizational design and management.
Dr. Král brings a wealth of academic expertise and international perspective to his new role as Editor-in-Chief, ensuring the journal's continued excellence and growth in the field of business research.
